Sicilian Wine Tasting with Vino Bambino

  • Palermo 401 Little Bourke Street Melbourne, VIC, 3000 Australia (map)

Deep dive into all things Sicilian with Palermo’s signature Wine Tasting celebrating the wines and liqueurs from Sicily. Host Mark Singarella from Vino Bambino, who has 20 years experience in the wine industry, will be taking you on a journey of traditional Sicilian wines from Avide and artisan spirits Amaro and Limonciello from Tutone for the evening.

Our very own Head Chef Mikey Dalton will present a gorgeous three course menu with Sicilian influence, including dishes such as Spiced Pumpkin Ravioli and Agnello a la Siciliana.

Vino Bambino are first generation Australian-Italians who love all things food and wine. Founders Mark and Michelle Singarella travel to Italy to hand select family estate boutique Italian producers. The chosen producers craft quality wines cultivated from traditional varieties and their individual terroir using sustainable practices and minimal intervention wine making. They embrace the spirit of family and work with their family estates to bring you the very best expression of wines that they produce.

Being exposed to wine from a young age, Marco's Italian born father Salvatore migrated here in the 1950's. He has always made wine annually along with the traditions of tomato sauce, sausages and olives with his wife Maria. Each year, the Singarella family would enjoy their homemade goods around the table and it was there that Marco's passion and desire grew. Marco's uncle Joe further exposed him to premium wine as he was a leading manufacturer of the "screw cap" that has revolutionised the industry.

The evening includes an engaging information session, a tasting of three premium wines, two liqueurs and a three course dinner!
